Ronald S. Herman / Chief Executive Officer

Ron has close to 50 years of experience in the manufacture, processing, importation and distribution of a wide variety of steel products, having previously owned a steel service center, as well as two dry cargo vessels.

For the past 30 years, Ron’s entire focus has been on precision steel tubing, where he has cultivated extensive relationships and developed substantial knowledge and expertise. In 1994 he founded Salem Steel, a leading U.S. importer and distributor of precision (DOM) steel tubing. Ron served as CEO of Salem Steel until 2017, when the supplier that had acquired the company experienced financial difficulties. Not ready to retire – especially in light of the tumult and opportunities that define the industry today – Ron founded Steel Tube Investments, LLC in 2018.

Ron attended Villanova University and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
